Excerpt: RIFF 1 contains a whole bunch of hybrid picking and legato. This approach offers a rather "robotic" sound, as many of the notes lack having a defined "beginning", ie., a pick stroke. Focus heavily on the notated legato, pick-hand middle finger use as well as the pick directions to most effortlessly execute these riffs.
