Jazz in the style of Freddie Green

In this lesson, I explain the guitar style of Freddie Green, who was the guitar player in the Count Basie Big Band. For any aspiring jazz musician, this is a must style to know how to do. I get asked to play this style very often when playing in big bands. Freddie Green pretty much never did solos, rather he left this to the horn players in the band and he provided a rhythmic propulsion to the music.
