hello every one.
i recently recorded as a guest musician on some tracks of an amazing drummer here in argentina, called ezequiel ghilardi. he’s kinda an argentinian version of dave weckl.
i would like to share a few solos i did for him. i think they are some of the best stuff i recorded so far…

they are the first 2 tracks on the myspace player “funky solo” and “latin solo”

Welcome to IG man! Excellent playing my friend. Loved the funky and latin solos. I especially liked the funky one. Good drummer too, I can hear the Dave Weckl influence. Also checked out your metal project track. Very cool! I hear a little Meshuggah in there. š

the gear on this recordings: ibanez rg 570 ip with dimarzio air norton on the neck, and virtual vintage on the bridge, also has a dimarzio push pull to go to single coil sound with both pickups.
to record the solos i connected my pod xt live directly to the pc with usb cable.( the pick up on the solos was air norton, pod xt live amp model was marshall jmp preamp)
i still have to take some time to watch your vids again and steal some of your breathtaking lines!! hehe… do you always tune the guitar in 4ths? at least for the vids you have on the tube?

Seanhehe you are right sean… MESHUGGAH BLOWS MY MIND AWAY. it’s the only metal band i’ve listened in the last 3 or 4 years…. a friend of mine is building me an 8 stringer hehehe.. can’t wait to get it!… now, i guess that may be the end of my soloing days… and matemathical riffing for good! hehehe
