Amazing Drummer Kid throughout the years!

Hello Everyone, 🙂

It just so happens that I live about 2 miles from this kid (next town over here in Massachusetts – USA!) He is something special! His bass player (from his mand “Mindwalk”) took bass-lessons where I teach (I wasn’t his regular teacher, but I did give him a few “fill-in” lessons when his teacher was out-of-town. Very talented kid also! I forgot his name…) Anyways, Tyler Hudson (the drummer kid) is now 14-years-old (NOT 11,) but he’s excellent. I remember him being into prog-rock like Rush, Dream Theater, and King’s X.! Also, this kid’s Dad has ALWAYS agressively promoted this/his kid. I remember seeing him behind his kit as a drummer-spotlight in Modern Drummer when he was like 5 y.o.!!! I don’t think the kid himself (at 5 y.o.) sent in that story!!! 😎

Ha-ha!!! So you didn’t believe me at first, huh?!? That’s funny! Anyways, No I don’t see that kid (the drummer – Tyler Hudson) too often, just his bassist (from Mindwalk periodically. A few of my students know those Mindwalk guys, so I’ve heard a few recordings/demos. They’re very good! (For their age, they’re amazing actually!) 😉

As far as the “fame” prediction goes, I’m NOT gonna touch that! (LOL!) You just never know. I mean fame as an “instrumentalist” is a tough thing to achieve or even to quantify, right?!? He’d have to also stay extrememly motivated/hungry as well. Ya never know… :rolleyes:

I actually recently heard of Tyler a couple weeks ago. Very talented drummer! It’s amazing how good he is at such a young age. That’s really neat that you live so close to him too Bill. Tell him to quit drums and play guitar with us at IG. 😉 Just kidding. I hope Tyler goes far. Very cool stuff!
