Totally awesome Elliot. Great job! Marco would be proud. So how long did you practice the solo before filming this?

Cheers Sean! Ooh well I did it a long time ago but wasn’t quite up to it, and so laid it to rest for a while! Just a few weeks ago I picked it up again and the alternate picking bit seemed to have finally sorted itself out! šŸ˜®

    Wow, that was really impressive

Technically flawless bro! And very much in sync during the faster parts.
However, if I may offer some (constructive) criticism. It sounds like you have only practiced
this solo to the actual track, and never tried to play by yourself to a drum loop say.
The reason I say this is because you are “lagging” behind in timing on many of the slower parts,
in the beginning and middle part, letting the tune “drag” you along rather than having “internalized” the note-values you are supposed to play. Thus it is not as tight as it could (optimally) be.
Great work non the less man, I just think some focus on timing would make these great take truly flawless in every aspect.

    Hey, thanks Richard šŸ™‚
I can see what you mean, a few parts during the middle section are not quite there timing wise. I’ll make sure to sort that out in recordings I do from now on! Thanks, Elliot šŸ™‚
