    Hey Elliot, šŸ™‚

As I’ve told you before, you have a twisted (in an interesting way!) sense of harmony & melody, which I think is great! šŸ˜Ž You obviously have great chops too, but I think what sets you apart from most is some of the less predictable “off-the-wall” stuff that you come up with. In a weird way, you sort of remind me a bit of Frank Zappa, just in that he would typically eschew all of the “typical rock-stuff” in favor of the surprise-element even if that meant introducing dissonance in spots where you’d least expect it! Sometimes your playing has that effect on me, and I do like it. Sometimes I think that it can take a couple of listens before I truly “get-it” if you know what I mean, but that’s usually the case with innovative art. The way I look at it is if you love it right away, then there’s a good chance you’ve heard it before! However, if you DO NOT like something the first time around, but are intrigued enough to perhaps want to give it another listen or two, then THAT’S the stuff that is usually freshest (to my ears!) Your playing usually takes me a couple of listens to grasp for that reason! Good stuff – keep it up bro! šŸ˜‰

BTW, you are young, and I’m OLD, but my advice to you (for what it’s worth!) is to try to NEVER lose your “twisted sensibilities!” That could end up being YOUR trademark, and I think it’s GOOD to have a TRADEMARK as an artist! šŸ˜‰ šŸ˜Ž

Thanks Bill! I know exactly what you mean, I do try to tend to look at things in slightly different ways. The opening chordal section is in B melodic minor. The only thing I heard going on was a simple B power chord so I saw an opportunity to insert something slightly different in there, even though the backing track is in D! I do feel I maybe went a bit too far with the whole shred thing so I should maybe think about more melody next time! But thanks a lot for your thoughts Bill šŸ™‚ Elliot
