    Hey guys whats up!
I wanted to get one of this 2 pedals and I wanted to hear your opinions on them.
I am looking for a pedal that can give me very versatile tones( But mainly fusion and metal lead tones)
    So what do you think?

I have an X3 that I use for recording. It’s a great unit. Are you in a band Alejandro? The X3 live and the GT-10 are good for playing out. I don’t think you can go wrong with either unit. One thing that is an advantage with the POD is that you can get other users presets online…….I don’t think you can do this with the GT-10 but I could be wrong. šŸ˜‰

    thanks for the reply!
I am leaning more towards the X3… just have a question
does it make a difference when you record if you connect it to the computer using USB or do you need an interface or a soundcard to sound good?

I bought a POD XT some months back and I’m very satisfied. I have no idea about the GT-10 or playing live, but I believe the POD can handle live playing good enough. I’ve noticed that my POD XT heats up quite fast though, so you might want to get more opinions about that,

I think you can connect the POD to your computer via USB, but I’m using an M-Audio sound interface. The advantage of USB would be the ability to record the “clean” sound of the guitar, so you can apply effects to it at a later stage.

I’m pretty sure you can swap patches with others on the GT-10. I have one and though it’s not something I have done:
