Ok…we have a rough mix of another summer time party song.
This is called Everybody knows. Its about a guy talking about his cheating girl.
I love the line about the tattoo on her back peaking out…..My tacky solo is around 2:45+
We actually re-recorded a lot of this last week but I don’t have the files yet.
Enjoy…or not…files.me.com/hscalfo/7lo7jn.mov

Hey Enrico, š
Well done man! Catchy and fun, but with an edge! You guys definitely have the “Jersey Arena Rock” vibe happening! (and there’s NOTHING wrong with that…especially when you’re from Jersey, right?!? – LOL!) Well done. Tasty lead work too. Very understated, but appropriate. I love how you chose NOT to step on the vocals! That’s a seasoned/unselfish musician who is listening to his bandmates! (Wouldn’t it be nice if ALL MUSICIANS were unselfish/mature enough to open their ears! You guys [your band] doesn’t seem to have that ego/immaturity problem though.) š š
Kudos bro! Keep up the good work! š

What an excellent main riff! Could listen to it all day. Do you mind letting us know how you came upon it? Super recording too.

RohanThat is a great main riff – very catchy! Just what you need for a nice summer anthem. I’m intrigued by your tone – I really like it. What gear were you playing through?
Thank you everyone.
The first lead riff just came a response to Craig’s (our singer songwriter) aggressive and angry delivery of the lyric just preceding the lick. The guitar is just biting back!
Then just continuing the solo on the way out of the song.Gear: Errr….what gear? To date I really don’t have anything that I’m using other than Guitar Rig 3. The core of the song was recorded at CAS Music Productions in NJ and then I took that track, imported it into ProTools with GR3 as my fx plug in. Used that for the solo’s.
We have since re-recorded much of the core (not the solo) and I played through the studios Marshall amp…. really don’t like the sound I was getting with it.
I need NEED to get some hardware gear and develop MY sound for live playing.
I currently have a Vox AC15 and have NO love for it at all. But that’s another story. Thanks again everyone. I’ll pass on your comments to my mates; Craig, Gene and Joe.
I was true to my post and I really couldn’t stop listening to this song the whole day. Awesome riff man!
So some observations (the listening kind) and feel free to ignore them š
* The guitars are too loud. You got a damn good vocalist.
* The snare sound could be sharperNamaste Rohan,
THANK YOU for the feed back.
You are correct about the mix.
The guitars are loud because it is MY mix and I am a guitar pig!! š
I wanted to hear what “I” sounded like.
When we finish the recording it will be mixed properly.
Craig is an amazing vocalist and lyricist. He can also sing and play guitar at the same time. Something I cannot do!!!!
Snare: Yes again….we are still mixing. If you don’t mind, I’m going to share your comments with the other members of the group.
Thanks again!
