Hello all of you lovely people!

I’ve just joined this site as I have been meaning to get back into playing and practicing regularly,
and I figured that signing up for a nice site (such as this one! :D) would give me the kick in the pants that I need.

I look forward to chatting with, as well as learning with all of you! :p

Hey Kurt! Where in Canada? I’m in NB. Do you have any Youtube vids, or a sample of your playing? What style(s) are you into?

Hey, Steve! Big YouTube fan here, I’m XMitsuhideX on YT. I’ve been meaning to make a new account with this name but you know, laziness. :p

As per your question, I’m in Ontario, a little more than an hour north of Toronto. šŸ™‚

As for my playing, I’ve been doing so for about 2-ish years. My favourite styles are Rock, Metal (mostly Progressive Metal), Jazz (Fusion), and Flamenco/Gypsy Jazz. Also some Classical and Video Game music, like in the Final Fantasy and Castlevania games.

My favourite players are Yngwie Malmsteen, John Petrucci, Paul Gilbert, Andy Timmons, Guthrie Govan, Al DiMeola, Joe Satriani, Shawn Lane, Jesse Cook, Marty Friedman, Michael Romeo, Marco Sfogli…. The list goes on and on! Also our own Rick Graham, Tom Quayle and Martin Miller are big influences, which was an obvious factor in my choosing this site. šŸ˜®

No videos or recordings yet, but I’m looking into Guitar Rig 4 for practicing and some recording so those could come soon. šŸ˜Ž

Another Canadian! Welcome to the club Kurt.

Killer list of influences there. Definitely post a vid or recording whenever you have one!

    See you around man,
    Sean

Welcome fellow Canadian! I just moved from Kincardine, Ontario several months ago. Good to have you!
