    Hi Everyone,

I am an aspiring guitarist from Fort Worth, Texas and I love metal, punk, and hard rock. I am always willing to try/learn new styles and techniques. If you have any lesson suggestions please feel free to drop me a note.

    Kind Regards,

    Austin L.

Welcome Austin! What bands are you into? There’s definitely plenty of metal and rock to go around here! šŸ™‚

I think it’s great that the instructors respond to our posts!!! I am part owner in a business that has professional endorsees and I wish they would do more of this kind of thing.

I am trying out different guitar sites based on amount of content and type. I am into newer metal bands such as As I Lay Dying, Suicide Silence, and Whitechapel, but I also love melodic punk-pop-metal bands such as A Day to Remember.

I decided on Infinite Guitar because it looked like most of the instructors knew metal guitar playing. I have been playing for a lot of years, but have struggled improving past a certain point. I want to get better at song structure and soloing. Can you guys help?

    So far I am a member to Dangerousguitar.com, Guitartricks.com and Infiniteguitar.com.

    Thanks,

    Austin L.

    Hey Austin,

Good to see a fellow metalhead. šŸ˜€ I love As I Lay Dying! I definitely have a lot of metal song tutorials on the site, so be sure to check ’em out. My best advice for song structure and ideas…if you want to get better at writing music, simply never stop doing it. Consistency over time is a huge payoff with composing!

Have fun with the material bro,
    Sean
