    Hey There Matias! šŸ™‚

That’s a really cool song and an excellent performance on guitar too! I like how it had a lot of catchy and funky elemnts to the rhythms/riffing, and I also liked how the main-theme/melody was interesting and unpredictable, but somehow remained “catchy” at the same time. (It’s hard to compare – which is probably a good thing! – but I would say it’s sort of like: Extreme/Nuno Bettencourt meets Mr. Bungle meets Steve Vai! However, you don’t really sound like any one of those artists! ) I also thought your mix was effective in that it was punchy and clear, and your main-theme guitar (although fairly high-gain) remained very articulate and clear, due to your decision to NOT “wash-it-out” with reverb and delay (which many fine players who enter Guitar Idol seem to do, and often times that can “soften” the playing-impact and even a song’s impact! Your “dryer” mix had plenty of punch/impact, which worked to your advantage, IMO. Also, at times there was some really bizarre harmony going on in your song, which provided perfect accompaniment for your twisted melodies! I also thought there was a good balance of melodic and shred playing too, which served such an intrumental nicely. šŸ˜Ž

As I said at the beginning of this reply, the “song” is really cool, and remember that in past Guitar Idols, “song-quality/song-value” seems to have affected the judging as much or even more than great “shred-playing!” If the Guitar Idol 2010 judging remains faithful to those past tendencies, you could do very well in the competition! šŸ˜‰

    Best of luck man! šŸ˜€
