I’ve been writing, performing, and recording for over 33 years and am so excited about joining Infinite Guitar and rejuvenating my guitar skills. I have lost something through the years and after much research I know I will find it here! Looking forward to talking to you guy!

Hey Dave! Welcome aboard. Hope you find everything you’re looking for. If not, request away!
Thanks Chris! Was checking out some of your stuff on youtube…very awesome playing and feel!!! That is what I’m looking for.
Hey Dave!
Welcome man. Judging from your username I think it’s safe to say you own an AxeFX? š What model do you have?
Hey Sean!
I have the AxeFx II and have been gigging with it for 2 years and absolutely love it! I have had a lot of gear in my time but it has been the best piece of gear I have ever purchased. I purchased it with the first firmware and I believe now it is at 12.03 beta 5 firmware. Unfortunately I gig so much and have so many patches that I got stuck at 5.06 š missing a lot of good things but I have next weekend off and will try to upgrade.
Very cool. I had the AxeFx II for a brief time a couple years ago. It was ridiculously awesome. I ended up not keeping it since I didn’t do shows at the time and felt it was a bit overload to have it solely for home recording. But if I ever hit the road I’ll probably pick it up again!
So is the reason you haven’t upgraded because of memory being maxed out with all your custom patches? (I totally forget its memory capabilities) Or is it because the upgrades will affect the tone of your patches?
No I don’t any issues with the onboard memory! Its just a little laziness on my part lol. I have about 40 patches that I use and just a little worried about screwing something up but at FW11 they released a new backup and edit program that is really good. When it came out I backed up my 5.06 patches and firmware which took about 2 minutes and upgraded to FW11 to see how it would be to upgrade my patches. I was able to upgrade 15 patches in around 30 minutes so not too bad. I was being a little brave because that was on the day of a gig but I restored my 5.06 and it worked perfectly. I committed myself to upgrade to 12.03 this weekend so I can get all the new amps and cool stuff by next weekend. I also purchsed all of the new Ownhammer and Redwirz cabs impulses so I will be trying those out. I didn’t like Amplitube and Guitar Rig on my DAW until I put them through these cab impulses and now they actually sound really good. Kuassa is a really good plugin for recording in fact its probably the best I’ve heard. Check it out when you get chance.
