    Hello guys.
My name’s Rhys Digby and I’ve been playing guitar for just over 4 years.
I’m self taught, other than the fact that I had peripatetic teachers in school help me with some pieces for Performance pieces.
I am 18 years old and I shall be studying in the Tech Music Schools in London from October.
I’m hoping that I will be able to actually get a teacher that I can learn from up there. I’ve bought lessons from people such as Levi Clay and Tom Quayle and have found them very instructive.
Like the thread suggests, I am from near Swansea; a village called Llandybie. It’s in Carmarthenshire.
Although I haven’t played very long, I’d like tot hink that I’m quite knowledgable and hope that I’ll be able to give some advice on certain threads and hopefully gain some valuable experience from the community and the instructors when I upgrade to premium next month. šŸ˜€
My music taste is very versatile. I like almost every genre.
    My favourite bands/artists/composers are:
Silent Civilian, Guthrie Govan, Scott Henderson, Chris Brooks, Tom Quayle, Extreme, Angra, City and Colour, Bullet For My Valentine, Paramore, Andy Timmons, Paul Gilbert, Rick Graham, Buckethead (Only some), Yiruma, Mozart, Beethoven, Malmsteen, Jeff Beck, Metallica.
    I’ve listed enough there.. hahaa
I currently play in a band called ‘The Charge.’ We play in the Swansea area and we mainly do covers as it goes down well and we do our own stuff. We don’t have a specific genre as it’s so wide. We play old Stereophonics tunes, Reef, Kings Of Leon, The Fratellis and many more.
The biggest gig we’ve had was when we were the supporting band for the comedian ‘Ava Vidal.’ She is very good. šŸ˜€
Anyway, if there’s anything else you want to know, let me know. šŸ˜€ Thanks for reading and I hope to speak to you soon. šŸ˜€
    Rhys

Hey man! Great to have you on board! My band (Threat Signal) played in Swansea back in November and the audience was insane! m/ Hope you enjoy your stay, and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask!

Thanks Chris. Was it at Sin City you played? It’s quite a cool venue.

    Hey Rhys,

Great to have you on board! Sounds like you’ve got a lot of great stuff going for you musically. Best of luck in your schooling that starts in October.

Also, it’s always nice to see some of the “musical founding fathers” like Mozart and Beethoven show up in people’s influences. šŸ˜Ž I’ve been on a Mozart kick myself lately.

    See you around man!

Cheers. Yep, I’m always aiming to improve. Who can’t love Mozart? heh. I still can’t believe that when he used to write music, he wouldn’t make notes. He would write it out perfectly every time!
