My name is Michael and I have been playing guitar since December 25th, 2007 when my father surprised me with an Epiphone G310-SG. I began playing immediately, teaching myself from beginner guitar books with sheet music scores and tablature with playalong DVDs. I played about 4-8 hours a day on average those first two weeks or so, and now I play about 2 hours a day when possible. I have since sold my first guitar, and now have a Fender Thinline Telecaster ’72 Reissue in Honey Blonde finish (250 made), and my father has an Ibanez SZ520 (Purple maple flametop) and an Ibanez S5470 Prestige (Red Viking Finish). I am looking to get an acoustic guitar; he has a 3/4 size Martin acoustic guitar, and it sounds wonderful, but I have a love for 12 strings and I want a full size guitar to call my own. I am torn between Gibson, Martin, and Alvarez, and I am also torn as to whether I should get a 12 string (which I love) or a 6 string (which is more practical and more widely applicable…). Anyways, I love guitars and music in general, and I hope to someday have a career that is music related (perhaps a bachelor’s degree in recording studio mixing/mastering/engineering).:cool:
