Hey IG, nice to sign up here to join you guys, i know most of the instructors through guitar sites such as guitarmessenger and tom has been my jazz/fusion go to guy for the past 3 yrs if i ever had a problem.
I have 2 diplomas in music, DipLCM and ALCM in guitar teaching, but due to an illness i suffered from a type of memory loss, so as the great saying goes “when man does something great, he does it again” and the site has already began refreshing my brain.
I cant emphasise the value for money with the website, the level, amount and types of tuition is massive and is not a sucker in website like many sites.Anyhoo i’m Ali, 26yrs old from aberdeen scotland but now living in minneapolis/minnesota, you can check out my band website and myspace if you want.

http://www.myspace.com/blindstreetbandShout out to my guys, Richard Lundmark i knew from shred academy a few years back (glad to be away now lol) Rick Graham and Tom Quayle from the guitarmessenger boards too.
Also to the community, thats how good these guys are, that even myself that has the level of tuition chooses to study here, somewhat see them as sparring partners haha
cheers,
Ali

Hey Ali,
That is awesome man. And welcome! I checked out your band’s tunes. Super quality stuff there. The singer has a great voice as well. So what’s your band’s status right now, looking to get signed at all?
Glad you’re enjoying the site! See you around,
SeanThe status at the moment is just building a solid base such as the site, facebook, myspace etc so the access is there.
We got a lot of good connections to play at the state fair and stuff this year so the exposure will be good with what we have setup.
Whatever happens we will do, whether its self work or under a label. Thanks for checking us out
Excellent, well you guys certainly have a marketable sound so the potential is certainly there. Can’t see why you wouldn’t go far if you guys are consistent with it. Your singer sounds like somebody I’ve heard before but I can’t put my finger on it.
Anyway best of luck to you guys!
he gets compared to lane staley from alice in chains a lot haha
hej Ali man! Welcome! š
Glad to see you around, and good kicking band!
You know, your story reminds me of jazz legend Pat Martino,
who suffered a stroke, and had to start over form scratch, listening to his own old records,
and learning all over again. He cam eback stronger than ever, and still continues to amaze!
Have you heard his playing on the new Lee Ritenour “Six String Theory” album?
If not, check it out on Spotify man, loads of legendary players on that album!Cheers!
/Richardhey man,
yeah hes a pretty big jazz influence to me, he had it tougher than me though, he had permanent loss.
things come back to me if i revisit them but i can recite anything i havent heard or seen since the accident.
i’ll have to check out what you reccomended, you got a cd of your own stuff richard? i’ll nab it if you have
