Hey there people, some of you probably already know me from that “other” site, but for those of you that don’t,
I started playing the guitar when I was about 11, and then I quit when I was 18. I turned 35 last September, and for some reason I had the desire to start playing again. So I picked up my old guitar (which I never had the heart to get rid of) and started playing. Well 7 months, two new guitars, one new amp, and three new pedals later, I’m enjoying it more than I ever imagined. On a personal note, the lasts few months have been hard as my marriage fell apart, but playing the guitar helped me get through a very rough time; I honestly don’t know what I would have done without it.
I like all types of music, but my main tastes are:
1. Hard Rock (Van Halen, Motley Crue, Black Label Society)
2. Some Metal (Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Megadeth)
3. Glam (Hair) Metal — give me a break on this one; I grew up in the late 80’s, and my teenage soundtrack included bands like Cinderella, Poison, Def Leppard, Kiss (80’s version), Ratt, Dokken ….I could go on and on but you get the picture. And yes, I still listen to all these bands š
