Hey Raphael, 🙂
Great jamming! I like your tone here too. What are you using to get that tone? Also, what are you using for reverb, because I like the size of the environment that you put the guitar in. IE: It’s not too big or small, and it’s not too wet or too dry! Excellent! I love your guitar too! There’s a 6-string MM Petrucci Model where I work, and I’ve tried it a few times, and it’s AWESOME! I wish I had the bank to afford it! 😉 😮
So I don’t have my instrument out right now, but I thought I heard a lot of Dorian and Pentatonic Minor. Is that right? Also, there’s the “B-Section” which modulates, and you did a nice job of hitting that key-change every time around! Later on (at about 3:15) the accompaniment changes a lot, and it remended me of a Vai/Satch-type “Lydian-vamp?” Is it? If I’m right, did you go straight Lydian there, or did you “jazz it” with some “Lydian-b7” Melodic Minor Mode? Anyways, whatever you did, I liked it! (LOL!) 😎 😉

Hey Bill!!!
Thanks for your support again!
My tone; MM petrucci 7, Mesa boogie Roadster, G force (here some delay and noise gate, but no reverb) and 5 fingers ; )
I play dorian on D and then on F dorian, but in the “distorsion” section i play some minor melodic and double harmonic minor (hungarian mode) with some chromatism (i tried loool) i’m not a jazzman but i try to “colour” my playing cause i love players like Greg Howe, Brett Garsed, Alex Hutchings, Tom Quayle (give your impression please!!! 🙂 ), and many more! Thanks again for your support Bill! see you soon on the forum!
Enfin,tu as bon gout! Bravo!@ +!
I’m impressed by your playing. Got some awesome lines in there man.
I just can’t hear it too well! 🙂
Thats a great guitar! Unfortunately the mix has your sound a bit low. Come on! Increase it up next time 🙂
Can you share your left hand legato exercises with us? 😀
Great playing!

RohanLoved it Raphael! Seriously tasty playing man. Great phrasing and relaxed feel overall. Keep up the improv vids.
Hey Raphael.
I loved this! Great time feel and lines coupled with a great sense of phrasing and vibrato. As Bill said, you hit the changes really nicely and I feel you used your considerable technique to your benefit moulding really interesting lines.
Great tone too. You seem to really enjoy improvising and look very relaxed too which is a really good sign. I think you’re more open to play what you’re hearing when you’re relaxed.
Nicely done! I’d love to hear more!
All the best dude,
TomNice playing man, really enjoyed it Raphael!
