Feels like what I imagine a first AA meeting to be like, but

    I’m Chris, and I play guitar. šŸ™‚

Kickass resource for guitar education you have here gents. Poked my head in a few times and I figured I may as well post and not just lurk. You’ve got some of the best new guitar talent instructing with guys like Rick and Tom. Respect.

    Chris

    Hey man!

This thread slipped me by. Great to see you here Chris!

Guys if you haven’t come across Chris’ music yet you just have to check him out. I bought his album ‘The Masterplan’ back in 2005 and it is a superb album.

    Yo Chris,

I remember a lot of years back we briefly talked about tendonitis. If I remember right, I think you were having some issues with your picking hand’s forearm. How’s that going these days? Are you pretty much healed up or are you still working around it?

    Hey Ben!

Sean, re: tendonitis… what I have is more or less a permanent injury, or well, an obstacle. The tricep in the right arm is always a bit sore due to long hours of practice with poor posture when I was young but there are stretches and weights that I do to keep it in good nick. I had physio therapy in the 90s and the guy told me to bring in my guitar and showed me at what point my arm was tensing up too much, so it made me a way more economical player in terms of effort and movement.

I’ve been doing so much rhythm work on the new album that right now my arm is in great shape. Doing some hybrid picking stuff too and years ago that would have killed. I had to stop classical guitar lessons back in the day because of the whole thing but right now all is pretty good.

    Hey Chris,

Welcome to IG! And its good that you’ve already confessed that you’re a guitaroholic šŸ˜€

Just purchased your album. All the best with your next release.

    Cheers!
