    Cool stuff man!
Nice lines, you also nailed the most fitting note-value for the song,
and performed overall with good timing, and good intonation.
As you said, some rough spots here and there, but some good work there!

    Hey Rohan,

Great job my friend! I especially liked the clean take. The tone as well as your feel seemed to fit a lot more with the backing on that one. Had a good groove.

    Keep it funky! šŸ˜‰

    Thanks for the comments.

I just decided to record myself playing. There are maybe 5 to 8 licks in there which I’ve practiced before. The rest is all BS šŸ™‚

I’m wondering if it would be a good idea to learn/practice some more licks and then jam over the track? I also need to study how and when to use common licks to resolve the chord changes. For example, I have some blues licks (not practiced) which are ideal for certain chord changes, like from I7 to IV7, V7 to 17 and so on. Any idea on a certain number of licks which I should know by heart before improvising? I realize its a silly question, cause ideally a player should have a huge database of licks available while jamming, but would it be a good idea to limit this to a certain number and type of licks?

    Thanks!
    Rohan
