    Hey Rick,

I use Logic pro 8 to record everything. I bought version 6 about 4 years ago and paid Ā£700 for it!!! I can’t believe what an amazing deal version 8 is and with all the plugins and samples too. I love Soundtrack Pro too. I think I paid about Ā£250 for the whole package, for some reason I couldn’t upgrade. Nice!

How are you getting on with it? Have you used it before?

No, I’ve never used it before. I’ve just been messing with it since I got it so I haven’t done anything serious with it yet.
I’m still using sonar with dfhs and it’s not an easy transition from sonar to logic(for me at least). It’ll take some time before I’m comfortable with it but in the mean time I’m watching as many vids on youtube as possible that’ll help me out!

what made you check out logic? I use it myself, and I really love it. Awsome program in every way, but I think the audio part is a tad better in protools.

Well, as I have a mac I thought I should at least get aquainted with it. The mac wasn’t meant to be in my studio (it is my GF’s) but I managed to convince that it would be the best place for it. šŸ˜€

I’ve been using sonar since 2005 and prior to that used a multitrack recorder for some time which, while getting great results, was a pain in the ass to use.

    .

:D:D I wonder how you pulled that off! “Hey, honey, you know that mac of yours…couldnt we place that thingy in my studio? There is bigger space there and ehh…” lol, I cant even imagine how you made that work:)

heheh, it’s actually simpler than that. She bought a laptop and I said look as you have that now it’s best if I put the mac to good use, plus more importantly, the mac goes with my white studio walls…………………

Well they are superb. I use a Macbook with Logic Pro 8 and am in love with the combination. How are you getting on with it Rick? Have you checked out macprovideo.com? Amazing site with great tutorials for Logic. šŸ˜‰

I’m working on a new tune at the moment but I’m back with sonar just while I finish it. After it’s done I’ll start really working with logic. Thanks for the link Tom, I haven’t checked that out yet but I certainly will be doing!
