Rick, š
I have heard of this kid! Amazing, huh?!? š®
Someday when I’m his age, I’m gonna be that good too!!! š®
~Bill Meehan~
I gotta say I have never been a big fan of Paul Gilbert’s playing style at all really(always appreciated his ability tho) but watching this kid play those arpeggios to ‘Get out of my Yard’ without the Human capo was jawdropping to say the least.
So much so that I transcribed his arrangement of the arps.
I have to say that, if I have transcribed it correctly that is, the speed with which he plays those arps is just incredible……………..
I think watching him do it is amazing but when you try it for yourself, it becomes apparent how ridiculous it is!Hey Rick, š
I actually dig Paul Gilbert’s playing, but I’ve never developed my picking technique to the point where I could actually execute much of what he does! š® š Anyways, from what I heard on the YT comments, that’s the song where PG uses the “human capo barre” to fascillitate the fingerings, so what the “kid” did was technically much harder than Gilbert’s own execution! Know what I mean?!? FRIGHTENING!!! š®
TTYL!

Yeah this kid is unbelievable. This video in particular isn’t my favorite of him, but it’s still amazing. It’s crazy really, pretty soon we’re going to have 2 year olds taking us all to shred school. š

If you’re interested rick, here is the transcription I used :

Hey Sean,
Not until some 2-year-olds sign up to be Infinite Guitar members! (OK Sean, is the check in the mail yet?!? – lol!)

Thanks for posting that Ben!
However, that isn’t the version this kid plays. His version is a three note arpeggio shifting between pairs of strings and that is what makes it stupidly difficult up to speed. If I get the time, I’ll post a transcription later on. Meanwhile here’s the main pattern(pull off to every 2nd note)
