Check it outtt. A few pretty bad mistakes, but I thought the solo had decent flow to it so I posted it up on the tube. Any critiques or suggestions would be appreciated.

“A few pretty bad mistakes” in that first vid? You’re too hard on yourself man. š Besides the one funny note at the end I thought it was all killer!
I don’t think I’ve asked you this before TJ but do you write your own music? If not, you should definitely start man. Your playing has a ton of soul and I could hear some epic tracks coming from you.
Loved that King of Blues clip too. It’s always extra impressive when it’s live, you did a great job. What was the contest prize?
Tim, bro! Your tone is always killer!! You gotta let us in on your gear!
And yeah that solo did indeed have a great flow. At times I felt you lagged behind in your timing
over such a “groove-based” backing as that was. However, seeing as how you are obviously
strongly based in the blues genre, it would be strange if didn’t show in your timing as well.I for one thought your playing in the blues competition clips was excellent!
Phrasing-wise and dynamically really really good! Thanks to both Richard and Sean, comments are very much appreciated.
I really haven’t written much of my own music to be honest. I’ll try to make at least a demo track every couple weeks, but I never finish seem to finish anything. I suppose it would probably be wise to challenge myself and finish some of the tracks, or at least try to.
In terms of gear my setup is really very simple. For videos that I shoot in my “studio” I’m using a line 6 toneport ux1 > Logic pro 9 > Pod farm > ReCabinet Cab impulse > Reverb and Delay. In the KOTB video I used the Flaxwood straight into a Mesa TA-30.
I agree that I was lagging behind a bit over the track. I really really need to start working on my timing, it’s something that I have the least amount of control over as a guitar player. With a bit hard work and alot of practice I can hopefully tighten up my playing alot. It looks like you ahve alot of stuff that I should check out on this
Since this was the store finals the prize was not too impressive, but here is a link to all of the prizes for the competition. One person out of nine advanced from the store finals to the District finals.

Thank you Keelan man!
I love your tone and your phrasing. You judge yourself much too hard.
you got a lot of talent and you will definitely make your way.
So just relax a little more and keep on playing.Greetings from germany
NikoAwww dude, I was really feeling the vibe in the second video. Kick ass feel, I think I need to transcribe some of that stuff!
A lot of nicse clompliments guys! Thanks!
Check out a little track I recorded over mattrach’s new song “this is l.”
Very tasteful man and smooth!! Great stuff. It’s been awhile since I last seen any of your videos, because you look different. You’re a young man now. š
