    Hey everybody,

If any of you use these, and would like to share some of your patches that would be awesome. šŸ™‚ If not, do you know where i can find some? I been on GR3 site and have those already. Can’t find anywhere else that has some good patches.

And honestly Line6 library sucks for the pod. Even tho i have quite a few really good patches of my own, what’s a few more. šŸ˜€

I would say try a couple of impulses for GR3. The link below is a good place to start.

I have to say that Impulse responses are incredible. If you’ve got a program you can host them in (I use Space Designer in Logic) it makes one heck of a difference to the quality of the guitar tone in amp simulators. If I get time today I’ll upload some examples of with and without the impulse response.
    Seriously good advice kcoddington!

I appreciate the link kcoddington. But i have never heard of impulse responses before. After reading the how to make them, and how to use them, let me say i am confused!!

The way it was explained IMO wasn’t clear enough, for me any way. The part after you load the “tonetest” in your DAW, is as far as i got. After that makes no sense to me. Anyone want to make a tutorial?
Can’t seem to find one on youtube.

Update. I can’t seem to edit my previous post so….Now i know how to load the impulse responses, just not sure how to make them. No biggie. Still don’t know if i hear that big of a difference, so any tips on tweaking would be great. I am using Reaper as my DAW, and Voxengo boogex VST and KeFIR and a bunch of impulses i found.

The differences weren’t drastic, but still an improvement. I felt that the tones seemed more authentic than the packages that already come with Guitar Rig. Even if they were subtle.

Also try mixing and matching the components for different sounds. I find the Cat and the Treble Boost to be good distortion effects to add. Don’t be afraid to experiment with everything! Sometimes the odd combinations make the best tones…
