Just got myself an M-Audio Audiophile 2496 sound card for my PC. This allows me to record my guitar into my PC. Always had my eye/ear on this one šŸ˜€

Follow this link if you want the specs –

Eventually I’m going to get a good quality mic, preamp and headphones, but at least now I can use my Amp’s line out directly into the card’s input. I got a RCA cable and a 1/4′ to 2-mono female RCA adapter to connect the amp to the card.

On a side note, I chose M-Audio cause this card is supported on Linux, so if any one here has done the same please let me know as I’ve got some questions to ask! šŸ˜€

    Congrats on the purchase man!

Any particular reason you went for this one?

    You gonna fit it yourself?

Well its a sound card which you put into your computer’s PCI slot. This card is quite cheap compared to the other sound interfaces available and does offer professional quality for home studios I guess.

And it runs on Linux, something which other sound cards/interfaces do not support. So you can get the clean sound of the guitar and mess around with it.

I’m waiting to try this out –
