Thought I’d give the competition a shot, if only for the sake of publicity etc. Here’s my entry:

Not really very happy with the tone, but I couldn’t stand waiting on Guitar Rig Session to arrive any longer, lol.

Thanks very much for the compliments everybody. Does anybody have any views on the tone? Personally I hate it, but unfortunately it’s pretty much the best I can get out of my Zoom G9. The mixing is terrible too, the guitar is far too loud…Do you think it would be worth me re-entering once Guitar Rig arrives and I can find a tone I like?

Hey Angus!

Like I said on youtube, this is some of the best playing I’ve heard from you. Really good stuff.

I got Guitar Rig 4 pro the other day and it’s pretty nice sounding. The Hot Plexi amp model is really nice. I’m using it with impulse responses from Recabinet though as I don’t like the cabinet simulations at all.

I’ll show you when I see you at YYM.

Yeah, Guitar Rig Session only comes with the Essential version, but I still get my favourites, the Hot Plex, Jump and Gratifier. I don’t get Control Room, but as you say, using it with IR’s in Logic sounds better anyway.

Cheers for the compliments, I’m fairly happy with it, but obviously I’m never going to be totally satisfied! I might re-do it with more phrases and less licks, if you see what I mean. I’m looking through your videos on Quartal Harmony at the minute, I’m loving it.
