I’ve finally bought a replacement for my MIM Strat! I was originally saving up for a Carvin to be built, but unfortunately shipping/duty/VAT from the US to the UK, along with the wait times put me off.
However, I just snapped up this beauty! http://guitarguitar.co.uk/left_guitars_detail.asp?stock=px-G15ES1475
Ā£699 pre-owned (but great condition), they usually range from Ā£1200 to Ā£1500, lol. Should be arriving later this week, I’m so excited! Finally, no more single-coil hum, bulky neck heel and missing fret! š

Congrats dude! Great looking axe. Be sure to post some pics or a video when you get it. š
Just received it today, it’s absolutely phenomenal! Gorgeous flamed top on it, sounds huge and plays fantastically well. Only tweak I’d like to make is the addition of some locking tuners, but that’s only a minor thing. It was pre-owned, but there isn’t a single sign of it, it feels completely new! Any fingerprints etc. on the photos are my own, lol.
Hopefully I’ll be uploading some videos in the next few days with it. Anyway, back to playing!

Just posted a slightly more in-depth video if any of you are interested. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ASW2oKehLE
As I say, I’ll post a demo in the next couple of weeks showcasing its versatility.
Man those godin’s look killer!
Always wanted to try one out, tried some older models which all were nice axes.
That looks very similar to the one John McLaughlin uses.Wow Angus,
watched your vid. Totally sweet sounding – and an totally awesome axe!
You are quite a young player with an enormous talent and TONE- please keep searching for the melodies and sweet sounds – not for pure scales.
Try to pactice more harmonics and chords! Its the most essential.
Best luck š
