    Hello

I am new here and looking forward to improving my skills as a guitarist. I have been playing for 25 years and am not really pleased with my playing. I have played in a working band for 15 years. Although plenty of people say i am a great guitarist–i know better. Just a couple of trips to Nashville confirmed that. I am a rock player by default, however i want to learn country style as well– in the style of Albert Lee and Brent Mason. I play an American Strat and various JCM 800 amps with a PSA Sansamp as my distortion. I use the Marshall for Tone only. I have recently started over- learning my modes and practicing with a metronome and backing tracks i make myself. I am ashamed of my technical abilities and need improvement. I am fast as lightning on legato fingering–but have limited knowledge of linking the modes together. I am hoping your instructors can help me with that and increased theory knowledge. I don’t need to learn how to play a “riff”. I need to learn how to master my fretboard and express myself on my instrument. Looking forward to some insight.

Welcome Scott! We have tons of material designed to help you connect the dots musically on the fretboard. I think you’ll be busy for a while. šŸ˜‰ Have fun with the tutorials!

Hi Scott! Nice to meet you! I’ll try to target some of those those things you’ve mentioned, in future tutorials.
