Hey Silvio, 🙂
Very cool! That’s probably my favorite thing you’ve ever done, and I like a lot of your stuff anyways! Cool Penta-riff (what was that, Drop-D tuning?) Sort of a “Funk-Rock” type of thing. Then the melodies were great in that “B-section” too! Great vibrato (As usual) and tone! (It sems like you really dig that “spalted-maple-hum-hum-tele!” You’ve done some great stuff on that thing in recent months bro! Great chops throughout too! You caught me off-guard with some innovative/inventive ideas going back and forth with the synth-leads. (Was that you on keys too? They were awesome too!) oh, and I like how the first part of that penta-riff was more straight-forward funk-rock, while the second half of that riff was more progressive and unpredictable with the odd chromaticism and note-choices! (The funk-rock part of the riff reminded me maybe of Nuno Bettencourt or Ty Tabor, while the more progressive part was sort of John Petrucci meets Steve Morse maybe. The main melody-theme reminded me of equal parts Satch, Yngwie, and Steve Lukather. Perhaps your thick tone, melodic sensibilities and killin’-vibrato reminded me of those GREAT players Silvio! Don’t think that your ideas are not original either, because they are! I just probably hear bits-and-pieces of those other GREAT PLAYERS more for their overall and indirect influence on melodic-instrumental music, and NOT that your song sounds like ANY of their ideas, because it’s unique! 😉 😎
Great job and keep ’em coming! 😎
