I was a member of the old site and I have to say I like the new site much better! Good job Shawn!
Picked up the guitar about 4 years ago and decided to get serious with it about 2 years ago. I caught the recording bug about a year ago so now I am learning to record and mix and play guitar. Blah Blah Blah enough of that. I do have some of my recording at the following link if anyone would care to take a listen. Some of them are kinda rough but there are a couple that I am proud of. Look forward to hanging out and learning.

I could not find an edit function for this thread. So I could not correct the spelling of your name Sean. Sorry about that. Kinda scary not to be able to edit your own posts. I was going to remove the link to my music also after finding the other part of the forum that is for that purpose. Like I said in the title though Newbie here.

Hey I remember you bro! 🙂 Glad you found the new site. No worries about the post. Yeah there’s a 10 minute editing time limit just for future reference.

I checked out a couple of your clips. Cool stuff man! It’s great that you’re getting into recording now. I personally found that my playing went through major boosts when I started composing and recording. Definitely helps put your playing in perspective.

Welcome, what are you using to record with? I was looking at the guitar port, riffmaster from line 6..
I have yet to record any of my stuff, and i have alot of stuff to record..

I use Reaper you can go to their website. I think its http://www.cockos.com its free until you register it. And you do not need to register it unless you are going try and sell your music or use it in that manner. I use Amplitube2 with Stealthplug to get my guitar into the computer. Amplitube2 live is cheap and comes with the Stealthplug but it does not compare to the full blown Amplitube2. I also hear that Guitar Rig3 is good but I have not used it.
