Part 1 of a tune I’m working on

Forums Listening Lounge Part 1 of a tune I’m working on

    Hi,

Since I recently started recording my guitar into my PC (no more cheap cams!), I thought I’d share a tune which I came up with. Its just a minute into the song, but couldn’t hold it in any longer, so I released it. šŸ™‚

Its a pretty cheesy kind of tune I guess, and sound quality has loads to improve. The rhythm guitar has a nice riff but the tune which I played over it kinda kills it – hence the name ‘Sacrifice’ šŸ˜Ž

Hope you enjoy it. Feel free to post any comments.

    Hey Rohan, šŸ™‚

I liked it! It was NOT what I expected (stylistically I mean!) It was fun, upbeat, and I can even hear that tune being developed/arranged with vocals too! Anyways, it works nicely as an instrumental too. I think it could be like a movie-soundtrack type of tune. Know what I mean? Like I think it has sort of a “surf/punk/rock” element to it, so I could see this being in the background of an “action or chase” scene in a movie! (Just a thought!) šŸ˜Ž

Anyways, good job, and the sound quality was better than I think you gave yourself credit for. šŸ˜‰

Thanks Bill, for your comments. You’re right about the tune being fun and upbeat. I definitely wanted to get out a comical feel. The best part I felt was that I got an initial direction with the tune which I now have to take further. Any suggestions for style, tune, etc. are always welcome. šŸ™‚

I like it Rohan! Fun and upbeat like Bill said, and the melody ideas were very prominent. Awesome job especially with this being your first recording too. Hopefully the first recording of many more! šŸ™‚ Keep up the songwriting bro,

    Sean

Thanks Sean! Glad you liked it, and yes, I’m going to further the tune.

And I’m not going to take any credit about it being my first recording. I’ve tried many times before, only this time I got some more understanding about multi-track, panning and gain control šŸ˜® Long way to go!
