Just one fat, lazy, balding, arthrictic cat.
He’s basically me in feline form: Lazy, likes sleep, eats alot, occasionally does something of use.
Finally got a photo of our pup Asta she is a Giant Schnauzer and is 16 weeks old š
I have a 10 month old Timneh African Grey named Echo, who I just heard say his first words this morning. Apparently he’s a closet talker and I guess I kind of insulted his intelligence the past couple weeks focusing on one word, because he said about 12 different sentences/phrases this morning.
“You’re such a smart Bird”
“My name is Echo and I’m a good boy” (I’ve been drilling that one into him lol)
“Do you want to go on your Tree Fort?” (name for the hanging play gym in my music room)
“Whatcha doing buddy?”
“Give me a kiss”Those were the ones I can recall off hand. I hope he talks more.
Here are pictures š
This is the day he came home from the pet store, I need to snap some new ones but don’t have a camera š
His upper mandible is horn covered and his tail is a muted scarlet.
This is a picture of an adult and is basically what Echo looks like. It’s like having a monkey almost.
That’s awesome! I want a talking bird too to keep me company!
haha that’s an awesome bird there Goliath š
I am just LOVING this thread. Pets are the best. Very cool dogs and cats. And Goliath, that bird sounds too cool!
Okay, I’ve been meaning to post my cat in this thread for a while now. His name is Calvin. I named him that because his super wide orange furry head reminded me of Calvin from the comic “Calvin and Hobbes”. This guy is just a riot! He can be the most peaceful cuddly little dude, but then immediately after be the biggest trouble maker in the world haha.
He has so many quirks I can’t even keep track of, and one being the sounds he makes. I’ve NEVER heard a cat that makes all of his sounds, many of them are doglike actually, little mini “ruff” kinda sounds. He also loves having conversations. Definitely the most vocal cat I’ve ever heard. He seriously can’t NOT make noise. Either he’s meowing, groaning, whining, making dog sounds, or some other weird sound. Oh and one of the things that kills me is he loves to meow after he finishes his food. So while he’s licking his lips, he’s also meowing like crazy which results in the weirdest sounding “meows” haha.
He’s pretty much our “child” right now. My wife and I currently don’t have any kids, so he’s the “kid” of the family. Anyway, I love the little guy to death. Here he is!
Here is a funny pic I took of our pup Asta today š kinda looks like “Falkor” from “The Never Ending Story” š
Sean that cat is nuts. Although, my sister’s cat actually uses the toilet. I mean, to urinate. I was babysitting my nephew at her house, went upstairs to the bathroom and the cat is taking a piss. My reaction was something along the lines of:
“Oh. Didn’t know there was….uh… yeah….imma go now”
*shuts door*Great pets y’all. Calvin sounds like a handful. I’m a huge fan of the Neverending Story so if he takes you for rides through the clouds, sign me up.
Man, you all got some crazy awesome pets. My dog ain’t all that crazy, I geuss. I remember my dad telling how it once sat next to him as he was eating/having a cup of coffee. Then Eddie, my dog, ran over to the door to go outside and said: “VUF!”, as dogs say here in Denmark. As my dad got up the chair and over to the door, Eddie ran over to my dad’s chair, jumped upon it and took a bite of whatever he was eating.
