Hi legatofix, š
That’s one SWEET guitar man! š I really like it. š The headstock (with it’s shape/contour and the Sperzel locking-tuners reminds me of my Blade guitars. (BTW, my Blades are the older/vintage-type with the pointier headstock, as I said, reminiscent of your Legra Custom’s headstock. ) I find it interesting that you chose a 25″-scale, only because mostly I see either the old “Fender-standard” (25.5″) or the old “Gibson-standard” (24.75″,) even on custom-guitars. (I do admit that I have heard of other scale-lengths being used that differ from the Fender & Gibson types! Is it Yamaha who dabbles with the “in-between” scale-length = 25″? Not sure…) Anyways, that’s NOT a huge difference! BTW, I love the finish/color. Very nice! š Personally, I might’ve opted for maybe one single coil in there somewhere (neck and/or middle positions?) or maybe a coil-tappable humbucker in the neck, but I realize that’s NOT for everyone! š I too dig the bridge-humbucker…Gotta have it! – (LOL!) š
I’ll assume that you have it setup (by you or by an excellent tech/repairman) to play AWESOME, correct? š
Awesome axe! Thanks for sharing! š

thanks Bill,
I think most PRS guitars have a 25″scale length. The body shape was inspired by
Brian Moore guitars and the neck+headstock by Suhr. I just overhauled the guitar as it first had a Mahogany neck with Ebony fingerboard and EMG pickups. That combination didn’t work very well. The Maple definitely combines well with the Swamp Ash body and don’t get me started on the DiMarzios….they sound amazing! The color was inspired by the Ernie Ball Musicman JP6 (Petrucci signature). Bob does have customers from the US on his client list!
cheers,

xxGorgeous guitar, reminds me of Greg Howe’s Laguna (Swamp Ash, Maple Fingerboard, Humbucker + Rails etc). His legato’s certainly pretty decent! What’s the neck joint like on it?
hey there angus…..the Greg Howe “references” are very deliberate!! The neck joint has 6Spax screws (as opposed to the standard 4screws) which give a much better alignment (almost as good as a set-in neck according to Bob Johnson the luthier) between body and neck. Check the link :

Hey AngusBurger, š
Good call on the Greg Howe/Laguna Guitar comparison! š I missed that originally, but now that you mention it…..BINGO!!! š
