That was very good Jimi. oops… I mean pekki šŸ˜€ jimilives! Nice name for a track. Really good feel throughout with some nice naughty stuff in there too, which I like. šŸ™‚

What is the backing track? You made it? where did you get it? I know, you might say – “I put in so much effort on the improvisation and all these guys want is the backing track.” šŸ˜”

But then, you’re selling music, the whole package. Seriously, the entire trip was enjoyable.

    It’s a legitimate question šŸ˜€

No, I didn’t make the backing, found it somewhere, forgot where tho.

    Thanks for your comment!

    Hey Pekki, šŸ™‚

Some nice stuff there! Well done. I like your tone too. Maybe a bit wet, (effects) but it works. The “wet” blues/rock jam reminds me of an old Japanese import I have (somewhere?) in my collection of Steve Lukather playing in a side-project/pick-up band he called “Los Lobotomies!” They did a version of Miles Davis’ “All Blues” that your “Jimi Lives” jam reminded me a bit of. šŸ˜Ž

One thing that you could try to expand on is your choice of notes when the accompaniment goes to the IV-chord. Just highlighting a chord-tone or two can go a long way in solidifying the chord-change! I did like the “worked-out” lines that you played over the (I think? – Don’t have my guitar right now, so I could be wrong???!) bVI to V turnaround
chords before it goes back to the I-chord. Know what I mean? The first two times around, you played those lines (worked-out) that worked nicely with the changes, then the third time around I think you may have just kept playing the bluesy stuff from the root-key (if I’m not mistaken?) Anyways, all-in-all, for an improv, you did well!!!

BTW, anytime I compare anything to Steve Lukather, that’s a COMPLIMENT! ;)(LOL!)

    Good job! šŸ˜€

Nice one Ivan! I really liked this one. Good breathing room, dynamics, and a couple tasty themes in there too.

Keep it up as always man!

    Hey, thanks guys!

Bill, I am aware of the odd note choice in there. But that was done on purpose.
I tried to break some rules, guess it came out pretty weird at some point. An experiment
    gone rather bad.

But, thanks for the Lukather-comparison, always glad to hear that type of stuff:)

Thanks Sean, glad you said a good word about dynamics, that’s also a field that I’m really trying to develop more better.
