So who else here enjoys this band?

I just again got back into listening to them and they really wrote some kick ass tunes back in the day. I still have to get their newer album as well as their next album.

And I also think Michael Sweet is an incredible singer. I tried singing along with some of the song and even though I have a naturally high voice, I can’t hit some of the notes he gets up to. Sometimes he gets up to a high G or even an A. I can barely get to an F# without straining my voice a bit. haha.

Just checked out some youtube videos. I will definately check out more from them in some days. From what I could hear they had that nice late 80’s metal sound – at least from the few vids I saw. Is that totally off?

Speaking of high voices – a singer like Daniel Gildenlöw can go quite high as well, as well as low. Has a very good use of range etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPLY2g2I2ps – check out that link for more details.

Stryper is excellent! I haven’t heard all of their material, but from what I have heard, they put out super quality stuff.
