Hi,
Would like to share my take of Sean’s Premonition lesson.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuB-EJsPjQY
I’ve slowed the backing track to 90% of the original. I hope to be able to play it at Sean’s speed in the future though, so this exercise is definitely a keeper. It has done wonders to my left hand stretching capabilities. Good exercise for alternate picking and string skipping too.
The original lesson is here –

Hey Rohan, š
Dude this is OUTSTANDING! š Definitely the best I’ve heard you play yet. š Here’s what I thought was so good about it BTW: Your timing was spot-on; Your tone was solid/appropriate; Your right-hand/picking looks a LOT more relaxed than I remember it from in the past and I believe this has resulted in a better/more efficient economy-of-motion (as I so love to carry-on about š® – LOL!) My guess is that on a good day (all warmed-up and feeling loose,) you can execute this at (full) 100% of Sean’s original tempo. However, good for you to have the discipline to NOT go there until your timing and articulation are 100% spot-on. That shows maturity and patience. š
Awesome job bro! š Out of curiosity, have you tried 95%-tempo yet???

Rohan, it’s sounding awesome my friend! You’ll have it down to speed in no time. Definitely post another vid of your progress when you have it up to tempo too.
Thanks so much for posting this man. I love watching your progress! Really glad it’s helping. It’s always really special to know our material is helping you guys. š
Keep it up!
SeanThanks guys!
Bill, I’ve tried at 100% tempo and it does not work well. At 90% almost all my takes sound good. At 100% tempo, 1 out of 5 would cut it. I need to work some more on the tapping part and the single string position shifting lick near the end. And no, I’ve not actually tried at 95%. I see what you might be getting at here. Increase by small amounts and you can fool yourself. š
Sean, the lessons here are definitely helping me out in a big way. No doubt.
Woah sounds very cool man, i wanna signup so bad š i think ill do it this year š , by the way, what guitar are you using? I can see its an Ibanez, but what model? Btw, awesome playin man š

Its an Ibanez Jem-Jr. Steve Vai signature model I believe, but the one I have is mass produced. Not a great guitar.
