As much as I love Guthrie, I must say I prefere his playing when he slows down a little bit.
I like it when he uses his speed as a spice, and not the main dish. šŸ™‚

    Hey Guys, šŸ™‚

    Uhmmm…..

    That’s it, I QUIT! šŸ˜® šŸ˜® šŸ˜‰

No, No, No!!! :p I just gotta practice better AND more! šŸ˜Ž Seriously, Guthrie kills me. He’s one of the very few players who are so good that I actually laugh quite often when I see and/or hear them play (Besides Guthrie, players like Tommy Emmanuel, Steve Vai, (the late) Shawn Lane, and Jeff Beck (on a good night!) – LOL! – all come to mind) Anyways, it kills me how Guthrie manages to simultaneously channel the best elements of all of the aforementioned musicians (Vai, Lane, Beck, and Emmanuel) plus a dose of Brett Garsed and (especially on this track, a WHOLE LOTTA) Steve Morse!!! (Those alternate-picked staccato sextuplets loaded with chromaticism over a country-boogie are PURE MORSE!!! – LOL!) šŸ˜‰

    WOW! šŸ˜Ž
