You can play the minor pentatonic scale over many chords.Here are some cool chords to play over the E minor pentatonic scale. E minor [ rock and blues]. F major7 [ lydian]. G major [country ] . A minor 7 [ 9 no 3 rd cool funk]. So next time you have a jam, get the other guitarist to play a F major 7 chord , and you solo using the E minor pentatonic scale . Try the other chords as well.
