From Childhood’s Hour – Circus Maximus.
(Yeah baby!)
Marco Sfogli – Andromeda
Zakk Wylde – Sold My Soul
and after that Buckethead – Night of the Slunk šMetallica- The House That Jack Built
Avenger of Souls – Zephaniah.
If you’re looking for a band with cliched metal lyrics to the point of almost comedy, but at the very least approaching Manowar status, check out this indie band. Brilliant musicianship and they develop a lot of really cool melodies, a heavy dose of neoclassical, but there comes a point when you have to say ‘c’mon guys’
Example lyric, from Avenger of Souls:
“Shout out your battle cry
to deter them
Charge with all yoru strength
and slay them by the hundreds”and possibly the best from “The Metal Prayer”
Oh, Metal Gods
Who art in Valhalla
Hallowed be thy names
Many battles done and kingdoms won
To be able to claim victoryGive us this day our shields and swords
and forgive our lack of mercy
as we forgive those
who are merciful towards us
and lead us not into the land of the peaceful
But deliver us into battle
For the power, the glory, they honor are yours
Now and Forever.I bought their CD after they solicited my friend request off myspace. $10 shipped, sure why not. Looks like they play a Jem7VWH and a Schecter C-1 Hellraiser.
Erotomania – Dream Theater
I’m gonna go WAY off pace from most of you. š
I’m at work, listening to Mutemath – self title album. One of the best live shows you can go to if you get the chance. Never seen anyone so passionate on stage.

Mute Math is excellent!! Love those guys.
Right now I’m listening to the free live radio stream at Beethoven.com.
I actually listen to this stream almost every day while I work. I switch between classical music and metal all the time. š
Right now i have the soundtracks from the first 4 parts of Harry Potter in my player. Man do i love orchestra music! š
Viridian – Between The Buried And Me
Yeah, I can’t focus anymore tonight so I’m just gonna mellow out to some easier stuff.
…I might even persuade our jazz band to do this song live. It’s mellow enough. Plus I’m sure Andy could put some killer sax lines on it.
Fear of the Dark (Live from Rock in Rio) – Iron Maiden.
The live version of this song is so much better than the album version. Plus, every time I revisit iron maiden (about a week every 2 months I’ll wear them out) I keep gaining respect for Bruce Dickinson’s vocals. That man has some serious pipes and a decent range. I might put him in the running for best rock vocalist ever, even surpassing Robert Plant.
Los Romeros – Vivaldi – Guitar Concertos
Possibly the best classic CD I own… and I own a lot. I listen to this song like I eat meat..
…with passion.
I picked up the “Essential Judas Priest” CD the other day, and I haven’t stopped listening to it since.
A Way Of Life – Hans Zimmer
(The Last Samurai Soundtrack)
11th hour – lamb of god
finally got the whole thing down on guitar in the correct timing… i love this song
