Vivaldi’s Summer or “Passage to the Reaper” if you’re a Sinergy/Bodom fan.
Ashes of the wake – lamb of god
I love the nasty riffs in all of lamb of gods stuff…
Great techniques in their playing, and im incorporating some of them in my own riffs.Super continental – Richard Lundmark :).
Joe Satriani – Until We Say Goodbye
I probably won’t be able to play it exactly like him because some of the fast runs I just can’t figure out by ear and there isn’t an accurate tab either =p
Only learning my own songs š š Haven’t learned a band’s song for ages now! š
Im with Pavel on that one!
Although the last full track I learned was, I think, Andy Timmons’ – Deliver us.
Edit: Actually that isn’t the case, it was Andy Mckee’s arrangement of Africa by Toto
I’m too busy practicing and what not to learn songs right now.
But once my friend gets his John Myung signature Music Man Bongo bass, I might learn Erotomania.
Science Fiction – Ornette Coleman
I should be able to play the first 8 bars within 10 or 15 years š
I’ve just had to learn guitar and backing vocals for:
The Beatles – Day Tripper
The Police – Message in a Bottle
Bruce Springsteen – Born To Run
U2- Beautiful Day
Phil (The Anti-christ) Collins – In The Air Tonight.Nothing too taxing, but it’s going to be live, and at a wedding, and I have to sing.
songs i’m trying to learn right now is-
Welcome home sanitarium – Metallica
Master of Puppets by (duh!) Metallicareally hard songs, at least master of puppets is for me. š
Hey Alexis, classic songs man! I remember the first time I learned Metallica’s tunes. Totally fun to play. š Keep practicing!
right now I’m kinda going polishing a few songs/solo’s for future videos.
And the nominees are…
“Glasgow Kiss” by John Petrucci
“Under A Glass Moon” by Dream Theater
“Not Of This Earth” by Joe Satriani.
“The Glass Prison Arpeggios” by Jordan Rudess (yes, he originally wrote them)Ok, the envelope please!
And the winner is…
*opens envelope*
*gasp*
…oh my…
IT’S GLASGOW KISS!*lively organ music, Applause, boos, hisses, audience advances menacingly towards stage*
Currently learning –
1) Through the never – Metallica
2) The Phone Call – Joe Satriani
3) Fade to Black – MetallicaAll rhythm parts. All solos.
Can’t seem to get the backing track for (2) though š”

If you do learn the entire cd and can play it back to back PERFECTLY all on video, no rests in between songs, then I will pay you $20 out of my own pocket. Along with an Oreo. :p
