PART 2: Harmonic Minor Madness
Bars 5-12
This section contains some signature Per-licks, from the pedal-tone lick in bar 6 to the descending harmonic minor lick starting in bar 7. The only key to mastering these, specifically, are practice and perserverance. They have a tendency to confuse players (including myself!) at first, but sound very refreshing and interesting when executed cleanly. Bar 9 may also cause some difficulties in the right-hand department as pick-strokes become fairly sparatic and random. Keep an eye on left-hand techniques and the pick-strokes should quickly fall into place.
