The riff in this lesson is somewhat of a "build up" to the riff in the next lesson. It's primarily focused on the open Low E string as well as the E and F power chords on the A and D strings.
Before playing the riff, be sure to study the rhythmic notes in the tablature. Notice all the triplets? This whole piece is heavily focused on triplets, so make sure you keep that in mind when concentrating on your timing.
Now bring your attention to the 2nd and 4th measures. Be sure to observe the two sixteenth note triplets (sextuplets) in the second beats.
And lastly, don't forget to palm mute the open Low E string.
Ready? On to the next lesson!
