Forums Music, Bands & Artists Doing 3 clinic shows in Tokyo in October!

  • Post

Just wanted to share the news with you guys =)
I’m going to Japan for the Premium Guitar Show 2008 in October.
I will do two clinic performances on the guitar show for Flaxwood Guitars,
25th and 26th October, and then hold another , more exclusive guitar clinic
at Ikebe-Gakki Amp Station in Shibuya, Tokyo on the 27th.
(same place I held my 2006 clinic at, the week before Andy Timmons).
I really look forward to rocking Tokyo again!
And even more, I look forward to meeting and networking with all the
really great players that will perform at the Premium Guitar Show!

That’s awesome man. Have a great time. If I lived in Tokyo I’d be there in a heartbeat! Do you think there’ll be any video footage like your last clinic had?

haha Rick is talking code! I’d look it up in a Japanese translator but I’m too lazy. 😀 What’s that mean Rick?

That´s great news man! It could be very nice if there were some videos from that show. Is there any chance that you would play in Europe ?

    Thanks guys!
    And Rick =) Wakarimasen 😉
Hopefully some show will be filmed, I will bring the DV-camera,
so if either Flaxwood or Ikebe-Gakki are up to it, one of them could shoot some =)

For Sean and Richard, I was saying ‘go kick some ass in japan man’! Or at least that is what I was trying to say lol.

Well, funny things happens when you run Japanese through on-line translators =)
And vice versa. Have received many a mail from Japan that are almost impossible to comprehend.
And, when I translated what you wrote in Hiragana Rick, it came out:
“The Japanese people kicking goes!” hehe 😀

That’s great news Richard:cool: best of luck I bet your excited and hopefully you can get some video footage of your clinics as Sean said 🙂

Yes, from what I’ve seen Ikebe posts videos on their site from clinics regularly.
But somehow we should manage some clips, I’m sure!

ps. For those of you that read some Japanese (or mayhaps dare use the Babelfish translator),
here’s the Event list for the Premium Guitar Show, see if you spot me =)

Wish I was going with you guys man!

    Wish you could come!
We could have a sushi/sake dinner and shoot the breeze with the Kim’ster =)

I think the translator got some part sin the wrong order.
A more edited translation would be:
“They come from Finland! Made of spruce material which has been
disassembled to minute fibers and then re-constructed,
the guitars that are created are extremely uniform.
With this new guitar where you can obtain a very rich sound!
The Swedish transcendent guitarist Richard Lundmark
    mixes his performance between explanation
    and demonstration.”
