[]Hello my name is James and currently live in the Denver Colorado area, I played guitar mostly thru my teens and twenties, I had a fleet of instruments and amps back in the day. Like so many individuals I know; we experienced life, which means we acquired families, jobs and responsibilities. So my guitar playing was pretty much over by time I hit 30 years old. I never really gave up the dream of becoming an accomplished guitar payer, however I just put the idea on the back burner. I kept my prized guitars and sold off everything else I owned over the years. Which pretty much brings me to current with one exception, I have more time now and have decided to pick the habit back up after many years. So I am Pondering if this site will help me re-gain my muscle memory / motor skills while hoping to recover timing rhythm and basically help to get my MoJo back ! Looking at the basics right now which almost seems to basic, while the intermediate seems a little beyond me at this point.

Hey Sean , Woha! I can believe some read this , this is great ! Um yeah I I used to love to write my own music kind of in the style of the late 80’s and 90 metal bands. When writing, I mean that I usually did the guitar work and created tracks on some old pro tools software. I loved the idea that I was able to pull it off. Some of it actually was pretty cool as I remember. But that was a long time ago. My goal was and still is to create songs with a hard driving bass and heavy guitar sound, I always wanted to make the people listing to me drop their mouths opened and go WTF was that! So yes i have pics of the instruments and will attempt to post them ! Just a note I have been following your beginner stuff and enjoy your lesson!
So this is what I have left ! after all of these years
my amp : Rivera TBR and this thing has killer tone nothing can touch it !
guitars 1960 Les Paul spec guitar re issue
Handmade Strata caster style , solid mahogny body jumbo frets, Seymour Duncan in the bridge , fender silver and gold pickups original Floyd Rose .
Performance guitar made out in Hollywood ( Steve Vai used these back in the day )
My old American made Kramer . This guitar used to be bright PINK but i could not stand it any more.
The Ibanez RG3550 is new and on order by the way I should have in my hands by the end of this month with luck.
Hey Martin, in answer to you question, I need to brush up all of the basics, wanting to brush up with chords, really need to work on grove and strumming, speed , scales, Interested in song writing . I looked at the beginner lesson plans , useful for sure , however not sure about the direction.
I can tell you this, theory and I switch off, I am a visual learner, text and reading kill me. I like to watch and then do . I believe I have lost my rhythm š so defiantly need that back ha ha ! My current skill is weak at best ! I have a lot of knowledge but can make my fingers do it , if you get my meaning.
Awesome pictures James!
