Rod Serling (Twilight Zone) narrates this show called Night Gallery. I’d never heard of it until recently but there are some great short stories worth checking out, a lot of which were penned by Serling.

Watch this one, which is one of the nastiest I’ve seen so far(in 4 parts so check the related vids)

Laurence Harvey plays a great role in this, unfortunately he was to die two years after recording this film.

    Hey Rick,

I checked out the Night Gallery episode (Catepillar) that you linked. Cool & creepy stuff! That guy was an ASS, so I was glad to see that justice was served!

BTW, I was a HUGE Twilight Zone fan back in the day. I remember back in High School, (too far back to admit which years!) the Twilight Zone was aired every weeknight between 11:30 P.M. – Midnight on WSBK TV – Ch. 38 (locally here in Massachusetts, USA.) I have fond memories of those freaky episodes, and I use to love trying to figure out how the short-stories were going to end, ya know?!? Good stuff!

P.S. I’m going to give your “Tapdance” piece a shot. Wish me luck! It might be a year before I can play it at an impressive enough tempo to post it though! (LOL!)

P.P.S. Since you just taught a bit about “hammering-from-nowhere,” perhaps the time is ripe to indulge us in a Greg Howe tutorial?!? …maybe Nuno Bettencourt?!?…hmmmm…

    TTYL,

    Hey Bill

Glad you liked it man! I’m a massive fan of short stories with twists in the tale. There are some great twilight zone episodes but you have to trawl through a lot of mediocre to get to the good ones. I loved Alfred Hitchcock presents too: some classics in there.

We had a series in the UK called Tales of the Unexpected which I love, although some real clangers in there too.

Best of luck with it, I’m sure you’ll nail it. BTW post it here too when you’re done;)

I will be doing a very hefty ‘in the style of’ lesson very soon and I’ll be sure to keep you posted on it.

    Thanks

    Rick
