I have been playing for quite a while, I have owned many amps/tone generating devices, I have demo’d tons of gear. After 32 years of searching I have found the last amp on earth I will ever own. Sunday I plugged into a Cornford MK50 II with my trusty G- Force in the loop, and have not been able to carry on a decent conversation since. This thing is rediculous, I have never heard an amp with that much gain that was as dynamic as human ears can hear. It responded to every little move I made.I thought maybe it was just the guitars I used, so I grabbed a Ibanez RG350 off the wall, still insanity. I took my G=Force out, and it tightened up even more. If you are serious about playing, especially if you make a living with it, I do not see how you can not have one of these in your rig. I am liquidating gear now so I can get one.Need about another thousand dollars, anybody need a couple of legs or eyes , I don’t really need my eyes to play…lol

    Hey Ronnie, šŸ™‚

Don’t hold back bro…Tell us how you REALLY FEEL!!! šŸ˜‰ – LOL!!! šŸ˜€

I’m glad you dig that Cornford so much. Is that the one that Greg Howe or Ritchie Kotzen uses? (Guthrie uses the Roadhouse, right? – Not sure?) Anyways, I love to hear/see excellent musicians getting so totally engrossed/obsessed with music and/or tools to make music. šŸ˜‰ That’s awesome! šŸ˜Ž

You may NOT need your eyes to play, but you’re sure gonna want eyes to see the looks on other guitarists’ faces when they see/hear you play your first few notes at the gig when you debut your new Cornford MK50-II. šŸ˜® šŸ˜‰ – LOL! šŸ˜Ž

Haha man, I know what you mean. The initial interaction with a new piece of gear is an irreplaceable experience! Good luck on selling your gear, that sounds like the perfect amp for you! …and it seems a few other amazing musicians haha

Hey Bill, Guthrie usually plays the MK50 (Fives, Sevens, Wonderful slippery thing, etc) as well as Cornford hurricane. Kotzen has a signature model RK100. If you Youtube Govan Messenger you will hear the closest example I have found. P.S. Guthrie’s albums are funded by Cornford (as well as Kotzen’s), so he is the demo guy for the new Roadhouse which is not point to point, it has a printed circuit board. It gets pretty close though for $1399 versus $3899.
