MattRach is doing exceptionally well and I am presuming that it is all due to his popularity on youtube and in particular from when he uploaded a cover of the now infamous Canon rock arrangement. Although I’m not that keen on his playing, I think it’s great that he is doing so well.

very few ppl really get noticed through youtube..
and I think there are much better guitar players over there that are not known as Mattrach
and actually deserve it more in my opinion..

but it’s great that there’s a place where you can go and publish yourself.. free commercial =]

*just for the record, youtube “didn’t” do anything for me by now.* XD

Gotta disagree with you on that. The whole world watches vids on youtube. I do think tho that the golden days of youtube are well over. It all changed when google took over and now they ‘control’ the site 10000% more which I don’t like but it was inevitable I guess.

Not sure why you think other people deserve more success than MattRach. Sure there are players who are far more technically and musically advanced than him but it doesn’t mean that they deserve success more than him.

I didn’t mean he doesn’t deserve it.. it’s not even something you can measure lol
I meant there are guitar players all over the world as you said that are far more technically and musically advanced
that gave their life for music and are just waiting for the big breakthrough
and I don’t c how a guy like mattrach or let’s say Jerry C that are so known and considered “semi-gods”
for beginners all over the world get that publicity..

for me personally, You for example.. are much more technically and musically evolved..
you’re music, tone, feel, are better than both of them..
and still for example mattrach almost won last year at guitar-idol
just for his publicity on youtube..
I can’t say anything different about Gustavo Guerra for example but he dedicated more than them..
and his piece actually deserved a place high on that “competition”..
    that’s just my opinion.

and if you were better known on youtube, I put my guitar on you getting to a higher place..
(and I said at that time.. I still think you should have got higher)
