Now we're going to play another riff very similar to the last one. Just like in the last lesson, we're going to be alternate picking across 3 strings while picking inside.
In the first measure, you'll play a C power chord with your index finger on the 3rd fret A string and your ring finger on the 5th fret D string. Then, for the first 2 beats in the 2nd measure, you'll slide up to the D power chord. And lastly, for the last 2 beats in the 2nd measure, you'll slide up to the E power chord.
In the video, I'm slightly palm muting all the notes except for the G string notes. However, that is optional for you right now. Mainly just focus on your picking technique and its accuracy.
